The Second Session of the 14th Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Second Session of the 16th Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress were successfully concluded on January 25 and January 26, 2024, respectively. Mr. Zheng Chunying, Chairman and CEO of CHANDO Group, attended the CPPCC Session as a Standing Committee member, while Dr. Chen Juanling, General Manager of Public Affairs at CHANDO Group, participated in the Municipal People’s Congress as a delegate.

In recent years, Mr. Zheng has diligently fulfilled his duties, with his proposals significantly contributing to the development of the cosmetics industry, particularly the establishment and growth of the Oriental Beauty Valley. This year, he put forward recommendations on advancing the Oriental Beauty Valley and strengthening intellectual property protection in the cosmetics sector, garnering media attention and coverage.
Dr. Chen Juanling actively engaged in her role as a municipal delegate, submitting proposals focused on Shanghai’s socio-economic and cultural development. Her recommendations spanned multiple areas, including advancing the beauty and wellness industry within the Oriental Beauty Valley and promoting green development in the cosmetics sector under China’s “Dual Carbon” goals.
