Stanford University and the Elsevier database have released the 6th edition of the "Global Top 2% Scientists List 2023", which is divided into two main rankings: the "Lifetime Scientific Impact Ranking" and the "Annual Scientific Impact Ranking". These rankings correspond to comprehensive data from the periods 1960–2022 and the year 2022, respectively. The list selects the top 2% of scientists from nearly 7 million researchers worldwide, ranking them across 22 fields and 176 subfields.
Prof. Dr. Zhi-Yong Zhang, Chief scientist of REGEN-αGEEK, has been selected for the "Annual Scientific Impact Ranking", marking another significant achievement in the field of regenerative medicine clinical translation research. Following the First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award of China (Top scientific awards in China), this recognition highlights the global acknowledgment of his research by world-class research universities and top scientific and medical information service institutions.
